Houston, we have a problem
Well, something is clearly WRONG with the Ranger. The lights for the ABS/Check Engine/Battery/Airbag are remaining lighted and the airbag light is flashing a few times.
After you turn off the truck, I hear a high pitch whine that is coming from behind the extended cab...it lasts a few seconds then just fades to a stop. Electrically speaking, I'm wondering if the fuel pump is dying. I guess I'll take it to the Jiffy Lube I trust (I'm pretty sure I need an oil change anyways) or I'll take it by a Ford dealer. I don't know what is wrong, but that high pitched whine can't be good. The engine does turn over, but it didn't originally and just went dead. The electrical system is acting up whatever it is that is wrong, but the truck had power to turn over and run all the lights.
Ideas anyone on what the whine is? Fuel pump perhaps dying?
