Thinking about pulling radiator to flush cooler?
Would pulling the radiator to run a water hose for 5 minutes in the oil cooler be a wise idea fallowed by high pressure air?
Thinking of cheap solutions and reusing my coolant since its still fresh just trying to get the crap out before installing the new/old transmission.
Id think boiling hot water would work best however

I read that wrong. Sorry.
Deleted other reply...duh
NOT the radiator, but the cooler in the radiator.
Pressure question still applies. Air compressors normally run 80-110 PSI.
I would be wary of using air to clean it out.
Can anyone confirm?
*edit*
If there is some sort of "aluminum safe" cleaner that you can spray into the cooler inlet/outlet on the radiator, I would go that route, then flush sediment out with water.

I wouldn't put water in trans cooler, it all won't come out, compressed air has moisture in it
Just flush it with clean ATF, no reason to pull rad out for that, just put tight rubber hoses on the fittings and pour ATF into one and let the other end drain into a bucket/pan, check if for metal
You can blow into fill hose to force out remaining ATF a few times until your satisfied its clean

Ive heard the same pure atf may just do that as for inline filters i heard they dont make one for this model plan on hooking my bicycle pump to the line with a extra hose fill it up from the other end with a 1 gallon jug pump it till i feel coontent the switch sides and pump till my heart is content again.
Keep going till ant nothing left...
As for the swap tranny i dont plan on changing the fluid it came with seems really fresh... No burnt smell, thick, and just a good quality trans probably put 1500 miles before dropping the pan.
