Henson Performance

He's an explorer guy. Made his own turbo charged 2dr expl. Found him on the sct forum, because Doug at bama is about worthless when it comes to communicating with me. He won't answer the phone or return a phone call.. takes at least a week to return a e-mail as well. and my tunes are not what I ordered. I just got fed up and cut bait with him.
James at Henson Performance seems to be on top of communicating with me. Even sent me a file to serve as a basis for getting this figured out. (can't change some things)
Thanks for the input & I'll let everyone know how it goes with him. So far he's been great to talk to. It's just amazing to me that companies with such good reps like bama won't take the time to actually speak with a paying customer. Just blows my mind how people / companies like that survive.

Henson is an active SCT tuner/vendor on www.explorerforum.com, a lot like Doug used to be on R-F. Henson's EF screen name is JAH81592.
You could also give Fred at Rogue Performance a try. He is an SCT tuner/dealer, a very knowledgable Ranger/Explorer guy and always answers inquiries promptly.
http://www.rogueperformance.com/ (EF and R-F screen name = FREDNESS)

Thanks Guys.
Since I spent $400 with bama & can't get the time of day out them.. I'm now working with James at Henson Performance. It's taking some time but we are getting it tweaked in. (tranny functions mainly) So far he's been attentive and were making good progress.
I'll let ya'll know how it goes and what the final product is like.
Regards,
Rich

UPDATE: James at Henson and I have been back and forth a number of times via e-mails and tweaking things for two weeks now.. Yesterday I bought a fully unlocked DD tune from him and I must say it'll blow away the tune I got from Bama. With everything now set to my liking as a "nominal" it's dang near perfect IMO. I told him I want to live with it for a few days before getting back to him. But in the one day I've driven it locally I'm very impressed. (I still need to play with setting and do some datalogging to confirm timing and A/Fs are in line)
Tell you what though, It's got POWER & the tranny shifts are spot on. The 1-3 skip shift is now tight, the shift firmness seems to be progressive. The more throttle the firmer the shift, and my WOT shift points are dead on where I want them for maximum 1/4 mile times & speeds. (yes I take it to the track )
Keep in mind I'm trying to equip this ranger for long term ownership. So the shifts are not tire barking ones. But they are firm and the truck will jump fwd at heavy throttle. But yet.. at light throttle they are barely noticable.
At this point I gotta give James a "atta boy" for tuning my 06 FX4 ranger.
