Is the belt supposed to be stretched around the tensioner pulley. It doesn't look like this belt fits. What do you think?

It is a Gates TCK10 PowerGrip Premium. It said it fits the 1994 2.3. Do you know where i can find a reliable fit online?

when i pry the tensioner down all the way it almost fits. Am i supposed to stretch it on there?

 

usually the belt will fit ,just barely. If you can get it on the tensioner without damaging the belt it should work . the tensioner presser is fairly uniform . install then turn eng. over to seat belt ,check tensioner to see if the tensioner now has a little movement.
