I have a 2001 ranger with the 4.0 4x4 with 4.10 gears and I also have a 2000 explorer with a 5.0 awd, planning on taking the 5.0 and transplanting it into the ranger and I have most of it together but need some information, that being said I'll start rattling off these questions. For now I plan on using the awd tcase and transmission on the explorer, but I heard somewhere that the explorer driveshaft will work work too, is that true and will it mount to the 8.8 rear end already in my ranger?
Edit: the ranger is extended cab, and explorer is 4d
