Traded in the tremor for a 2005...

Trading in my ranger was the dumbest thing I did 5 years ago. I put a lot of money in it and threw it away, however I was dumb and nieve then. Now im upside down, luckily have a nice vehicle now. However I still don't have ranger closure from trading in my Tremor. LOL. I tried to convince my wife to let me get another ranger, but the Escape is close and she helps me pay for it
I know this thread is really old, but I felt like opening up about it 5 years later.

Swoop. Good to see you too. I went from a Ranger, to a mustang, to a PT Cruiser, to a focus, and now to our Escape. My wife helps me pay on it since her old car is paid off. She wanted an SUV and didn't want 2 car payments. So the Focus got traded in. I owed $13,000 for a car worth $9k on blue book. Now I owe $27,000 on an Escape that is probably worth $20k now. However my wife loves it, I like driving it, and it has a 60k bumper to bumper warranty. Im working on getting a better job and will pay it off.

My dad just picked up a 06 Escape. Thing is pretty nice. They are decent rigs. The newer ones just blow his out of the water tho. Just amazing vehicles.
Me and Dad say escape as if it was Spansih. I dont know if I can spell it phonetically, but ill try... Ess-cop-ea. Makes it fun to order parts at a autoparts store, or just tell your friends about it. lol

Thats right, the tremor is gone. After 33,000 miles of pinging knocking, oil leaks, poor acceleration, damaging the paint from trails and being sprayed, its gone. I couldnt take it anymore. So I got a killer deal on a 2005 Mustang, i know, its not a v-8, but the 4.0 SOHC V-6 is plenty, great acceleration and great gas mileage. Its screaming yellow color. Sticker price is 20,300, I paid $17,000 total with the X-plan and saved another $2,000 just by negotiating and threatning to walk out. Will have pics whenever it stops raining. I was sad to see the ranger go, but i wasnt happy with it.
