right now I'm looking at a couple of Mazda 4x4 4.0L 4 door trucks. They have them fully loaded for 21k or base for 15k. I know you said you were looking at fullsize, but these are pretty good prices and you'd have some extra room + 4x4.

I used to complain about how the V8's in the F150 and such got about equal mileage as my 4.0L does.. But then I changed the way I drive and am getting ~20 MPG pretty reliably. I have yet to hear of a V8 powered 4x4 full-size clearing 20.. ever!

I'd expect a hit in MPG if you drive both trucks the same way.

Not to mention a programmer would fix your mileage. Before mine I got 16/city and 19/hwy and now I get 18-19 city and 23-25hwy.

Im still in the same boat as you......I need full size.....Ive checked out an 05 expedition with the 5.4.....03 explorer with the 4.6L......and now i need to look at the 06 f150, ive looked at the f150 but havent testdrove it like the others.....The explorer had alot of power and room, i could sit in the 3rd row seats comfortable but my head was touching the top....

I cant decide if it would be better to leave my truck how it is, and trade it in / sell it......or take all my mods off and trade it in stock...

Also I want a truck that has 4x4 for these snowy new england blizzards. Im gonna be checking out the dealers around the area tomorow for F-150's! Also all my hard work that I've done to my truck in mods will be taken off and sold on here. Don't get me wrong, i love my ranger but i think its time for bigger and better things.
I know your feeling. Im 6' 3" and my ext. cab feels like a shoe box, I think a full size is going to happen once im done with college.
