Bear in mind that the freeway speed limits in many states are lowered for vehicles pulling trailers. Also, there is going to be a fuel economy hit with the trailer that could be worse than the extra fuel cost for hauling a load in the bed. You have to pay for an extra set of tabs with the trailer, too.
On the plus side for the trailer, loading may be much easier than into a Ranger, especially a 4x4 or Edge. It sounds like you already have the trailer storage problem solved.

Oh and if you really want to you can carry more quads that way. I know i could haul a quad in the bed and w/ a 3 place snowmoblie trailer i could get 3 on there and that is the only truck we needed to take for a weekend.

Uhhh.... maybe you mean 80 MPH MAXIMUM??
I vote trailer. My b/f and I are actually looking for a trailer like that, we want to build it into an enclosed trailer with a sleeping area so we can keep all our camping/hunting gear in the trailer. When we want to leave, just hook up and go.... plus we can take BOTH quads.
I take it your quad doesn't fit in the bed as it is now? I'm not sure on the dimensions of your quad, but mine doesn't really fit all that well in the bed of my Ranger. Have to leave the tailgate at home, and the wooden planks for ramps get shoved under the quad.... it's a lot easier with a trailer.

and his quad won't fit because he has a stepside bed, not a fleetside like yours (and my rangers)
I use both, the bed and a trailer. If I dont' plan on unloading and loading more then twice I leave the trailer back. But if I know I will be putting it up and away a few times then I grab the trailer. I found it easier to back the 4-wheeler into the truck. if I pull strait in the winch hits the front rear window unless i put a stop in the bed. Then the rear wheels sit on the tailgate which isn't a good idea!. So I just normaly back it in. Works very well!
