Transmission
Transmission
I have a tk5 style transmission just had it out doing a rear main repair put it back in I put a new tail seal on the trans and filled it back up with fluid and I'm leaking out of the top of the shifter and possibly the tail seal or its dripping and running back I cleaned out the vent tub I stuck a brush wire down there and didnt really get anything out dont know what's going on I cleaned it off the other day and drove it again and its leaking what's wrong here this is a 87 trans it's old not much info on it
You used 80w or 90w gear oil right, not ATF like the later models transmissions
Is it over full?
All fluids expanded when heated so if its too full then it will be forced out somewhere
Its a toyo kogyo 5 speed
