Truck Batteries

This might sound like a dumb question, but how interchangeable are truck batteries? The battery is dead in my Ranger at the moment, and needs to be replaced. For the time being, i'd like to avoid spending 100 bucks to get a new one, and just take the Duralast Gold Top out of my Bronco and put it in the Ranger. Its a bit bigger battery, not sure of the exact statistics of the battery, but I know its higher CCA's.

I assume it would be interchangeable, but can someone give me some insight? Let me know if more info is needed on the battery. I will try to get some when I get home from work.

James

nah you're good. as long as its a 12v battery with enough CCA's to power everything you have you're good. the different sizes are really just for fitment, though there is somewhat of a connection in overall size and output.

Measure the physical size and pay attention to the terminal polarity. Height wise you should have room for a slightly taller battery , but not much before the terms hit the hood.

The size would definitely be the only thing holding you back! Ranger batteries aren't very big and there isn't much room up there.

Yeah, I checked it out and my Bronco battery is too big to fit into the Ranger spot.

Guess i'll be going out and buying a new Duralast tonight.

Thanks for all the help.
