Our beds, or most, are 6ft beds so that sounds almost like the right dimensions. I know mine is a leer and I have seen the exact camper on tacomas, new and old. Most companies try to standardize the sizes.

Here is my how to on measuring your bed.

First, you will need a tape measure:

Size: 176.4 KB

Then, what you do (PAY ATTENTION TO THIS) is take the tang of the tape (the flat part that is kind of like a ..... what are those called? Oh yeah, HOOKS!), and......HOOK it to the cab side of the bed, as shown:

Size: 64.0 KB

Then, what you do, is keep the big part in your hand, and pull it to the end of the bed. And guess what's cool about tape measures? They have numbers on them, telling you how long something is in inches (don't worry so much about those small lines, as I don't want to confuse you, just pay attention to the numbers). And guess what? It looks as if Ranger beds are 75 inches long, which is, I think, 6'3".

Now, the next part is kind of tricky, but just as simple as this. What you do is measure the WIDTH of the bed. Again, all you have to do is hook the tang (or the hook) of the tape on one side, and pull the big part to the other. And guess what? It looks as if Ranger beds are 5 foot wide!

I hope that helped. It was extremely difficult, as tape measures are heavy, and VERY SHARP!

Seriously, just get one made for a Ranger. It'll look a lot better than something made for a Tacoma, just be patient, one will pop up sooner or later.

The ones for Tacoma's aren't that much different then a Ranger one. They have a very similar design, but the tops just touch the cab.

I agree, though, I would just save up and get one for a Ranger. If anything, go to your local topper dealers, and see what they have for used ones.

I hope this helps anyone that has questions:

These are Factory Dimensions from the truck manufactures.
Bed Measurements are measured on the floor of the bed, NOT the bed rails.
Width is measured on the floor at the rear of the bed.
Cab Height is measured from bed rail to highest point on cab.
All measurements are in inches.

I found this:
http://newlondon.craigslist.org/pts/1077971964.html
$100 sound decent? My truck is red so it would look stupid, is fiberglass hard to paint? I think that bump on top would look wierd though, if anyone has seen a pic of a ranger somewhere with a cap like that that rises please post.

Also, is it possible to have on the cap AND the bed liner? or do I have to take out the bed liner each time I use the cap?

You can leave the bedliner in with the cap. I was also looking for one and was advised to look for one off of a 98' or new ranger so the cap lines up with the cab right. If you get an older one it won't look right, it would still fit ok though.

I found one made for a ranger, it is gloss black, flat top, sliding windows, it is nice, if it wasn't for the giant hole! lol, there is a hole in the rear left side about 5" wide by 10" tall, looks like someone hit it with a sludge hammer. It is fiberglass, I can get this for cheap, if Its possible to fix that hole I will take it since the rest of it is nice, shiny paint too! So is it possible to fix? how would I do it?

if your bedliner is over the rail you will have to cut it in order to use the c - clams ... or you can be like this dumbass i knew in wisconsin that had his entire shell held down with DECK SCREWS

The cap you posted is ugly as sin and would look even worse on your truck seeings as you have a newer truck and that thing is older than Methuselah.

Mine was kinda done the same way before I got it. There are screw holes all the way down the sides.
