02-03 only with manual transmission. To get more specific...02 Fx4 w/ manual and 03 Fx4 Level II with manual got the manual transfer case. Older gen trucks got them, but they have the 1350 tcase compared to the 1354 tcse in the newer trucks. Was only offered on manual transmission equipped trucks.

BUT..to answer your question: '03 Fx4 Level 2 w/ manual transmission.

I am unaware of any FX4 equivilent in Mazda form....I highly doubt it.

04+ did however still have the special Fx4 chrome shifter arm if equipped with a manual.

Well if you get a twin stick you don't have to wait for 4wd low and you don't have to worry about the shift motor dying. You will have to deal with a crappy manual transmission.

This is the case for all manual equipped Rangers...

Christian....have you had to replace your transmission yet? If not, STFU.

No but it is going. Gear changes aren't so smooth. And no I won't STFU because a good truck wouldn't need the tranny out once a year.

You won't be able to do a body lift on a twin stick without modifying the transfer case shifter.

The Mazda transmission is just fine. It may not be the best transmission but will hold up as well as most. The slave cylinder is what is problematic. I hope someone comes up with a better one by the time I need a new clutch.
