Update on my green 88

Yeah I still got the green ranger. I am still not sure what I want to do with it. Deep down I want to keep it and I could use an open bed truck for around the house stuff but I would really like to sell it but I don't think I could get what I have put into it. I have almost $4,000 in it(counting what I paid for it) and would sell it if somebody offered. Yes I understand nobody is going to give me that for it. Its fixed and running good. One cylinder has low compression but not to low, that cylinder still fires. The oil pressure drops sometimes at idle but not to low. All in all it runs good. I drove it to work a couple days. It passed MD inspection. I am taking it to emission next month. I think it should pass.

Only thing I plan on fixing on it next is the steering, its a little loose so I am planning on replacing the steering box and and steering stablizer and maybe the power steering pump if that doesn't fix it.

Yeah I agree. Keep the thing and wheel it when it breaks build better.

You are never going to get out of it what you put in. but that is the case with any modified off road truck. So unless you want to take a major loss and find something better you are stuck with this thing. I know you want to hit up Wharton and that thing is perfect for Wharton just don't try to push it too hard.

I think if I did get rid of it I would really regret it, So right now it would take $4,000 for me to part with it. Because you guys are right it would make a good little trail ****. Now all I need is a trailer or some way to get it to the trails safely. I think I am just mad at the whole situation and how it played out. Stupid maryland wouldn't let me swap in a D35 or 4.0L out of an explorer/ranger, but hey thats something I should have looked into first. I still can't figure out why they wouldn't let me. I know the laws on engine swaps are for emissions stuff so it has to be out of the same year or newer, so I still can't figure out why I could do it and it pass inspection(which in MD in once the first time you get tags).
