upgrading tires
thanks for all the help. i was online for a while trying to find this out then i remembered i was a member of this site and seemed stupid not to ask on here. i still have some saving up to do for the tires so it'll be a few more weeks before i can actually get them
WRONG!!! you will never fit 33x12.5 without cranking the bars and getting the shackles for the rear... and even then you will rub the front and rip the fenders off the bed if you ever wheel... ask me how i know
Yea if you wheel, but driving around town?
285/ 75's are about the same as a 33 12.5 if im not mistaken, a good size to consider is the 235/85r16. They will be my next purchase, as they are tall, and will be good in most offroad conditions as they don't have a massive contact patch, so they have more weight / pressure on the limited contact patch. Some one can probably explain that better than I have.
If you don't want to lift the truck any, do 265x75's. They are about a 31 inch tall tire. If you try to stuff anything bigger, you will constantly be worrying about throwing a flare, or rubbing on something.
