upgrading tires

upgrading tires

what is the biggest set of tires i can put on a '99 Ranger 4x4 that isn't lifted?

and that's without putting anytype of lift kit on it? it won't rub in the wheel wells?

you should do a slight torsion bar crank to level out the truck to prevent rubbing. but yep!

thanks for all the help. i was online for a while trying to find this out then i remembered i was a member of this site and seemed stupid not to ask on here. i still have some saving up to do for the tires so it'll be a few more weeks before i can actually get them

i think 33x10.50 is the size that you wont rub to bad with

or just add a bodylift. cheap and simple and u can add those 33 withpout worries. u still got a few weeks to get it :)

285/ 75's are about the same as a 33 12.5 if im not mistaken, a good size to consider is the 235/85r16. They will be my next purchase, as they are tall, and will be good in most offroad conditions as they don't have a massive contact patch, so they have more weight / pressure on the limited contact patch. Some one can probably explain that better than I have.

If you don't want to lift the truck any, do 265x75's. They are about a 31 inch tall tire. If you try to stuff anything bigger, you will constantly be worrying about throwing a flare, or rubbing on something.

285/75/16 FTW....crank the tbars and youll be perfectly fine. Mine BARELY rubs the sway bar at full clock!
