Upper Balljoint and knuckle disassembly

I am in the middle of installing upper control arm with new ball joints and have the knuckle off the vehicle. I noticed the rotors needed to be machined so I had the knuckle in my bench vise loosening the 2 bolts that hold the brake bracket on. As I was doing this a 1" diameter tubular shaped what looks like a washer only not flat but tubular falls to the ground. It was clinging to the knuckle somehow and I did not know it was there. I believe it came from the area on the knuckle where the lower ball joint connects. Cannot figure out where it came from. I was thinking and hoping that it came from the old ball joint that I removed and it just stuck to the knuckle. I know the ball joint is held in with a ring washer and it is for sure not that because I know what that looks like. Just trying to figure out if there is a washer on the bottom side of the knuckle where the lower ball joint goes. It is 1" in diameter and not flat like a normal washer but rounded kind of like a keychain ring. I know this is a 1000 to 1 shot but thought I would ask. Don't want to put all this together and have something not work because of a small thing like this.
PLEASE HELP............................................ Thank you

Chris Fix has a video well worth watching on upper control arm bushing pre load. Titled "Control Arm Bushing Preload Important Information" Do this before torqueing down to specs.
