Utterly FAILED.. :(

ok so i have a new found respect for mud..

To start this off I'm just going to admit i made a complete *** out of myself

On my way home(around 3:00am) I decided that a couple donuts and a splash in a little mud puddle might be fun as i drove past an empty construction site. To hell with criminal trespass and malicious intent.. It was just a big parking lot made of dirt instead of pavement.. right?

One pass through with no problem had me geared up for a second.. Went in a slightly different course the second time and wound up chassis deep in mud

Now what was i saying about those laws..

One very small credit in my favor: i was only about two blocks from my house. I run home and grab a shovel and some boards and begin to dig.. and dig.. and DIG

I dug till i had blisters, then i dug till they ripped open. And then i dug until my ripped open blisters had ripped open blisters. (Yes i forgot gloves )

3 hours later(just before the bulldozer crew shows up) I managed to free up the wheels and axles enough to back out.

Needless to say i threw the shovel in my bed and ran home with my tail far between my legs.

On the plus side, I'm sure the morning crew saw the tire marks, broken boards, and a VERY large hole, and proceeded to laugh their asses off at whichever moron was a likely future candidate for Darwin's not so coveted award

It's almost light out now so i'll have a couple pics up soon of the fresh mud which I'll be able to tell all my friends came from some manly off roading experience or some such

You should slowly drive by the construction site with the truck covered in mud. lol.

On the bright side, atleast it was the middle of the night, no one saw you and you got out by yourself.

back in the day when i was working on jobsites, i'd have fellow workers egg me on to go out and play on the newly leveled land. needless to say...i have had myself pulled out using an excavator.

Yea I use to (actually still do, but am smarter about it) go out in the woods alone. F*cked me more times then I can count. I actually had to leave my truck in the mud puddle for a few hours once. But hey we live and we learn (most of the time).

I hear ya. I've had to leave my truck overnight in a mudhole too many times. One time I had to walk four miles barefoot to get home. It sucked!! Never again.

That was when I thought my bfg at's were the ****!! lol

Where are these pics?!?!?

I agree, 2wd FTL. A buddy and me got stuck one night doing the same thing at a construction sight. Bad part was it was in his 03 f150 with 33in mud dawgs. Its nice to have friends with big trucks. Sucks about your hands, Im gald you got it out before the law found you, next time make sure you take a friend with a tow strap haha.

i once agreed to help pull someone out of a field who had gotton stuck at the edge of it. i ended up it getting stuck and cops showed up. told me my truck would have to stay where it was until it was dried up enough to be removed and i could be charged with the repair to the yard.(was on the edge of grade school property) went back the next day with blocks, boards and jacks and managed to get it out, drove over to a church lot and got my other vehicle and all the blocks, boards and jacks i used. had a friend follow me to a campground in the next county where i has a camper on a permanent spot. left my truck there for over a week in case any L.E.O.'s came looking for it, none never did. i would have claimed it stolen. when i drove by where my ranger had been stuck the day after i extracted it, the other stuck car had been brutally vandalized, broke windows, headlights, cut tires. saw it the next summer at the demo derby during the fair. my truck went into town very little after all that.
