i dont know if allot of people know this but i was a t the dealership and this year there making i think 4.6 v8's test drove one AND DAMMMMM it fast

Are you sure it wasn't just the 4.0L V6? That's more than likely the case. You've got a 3.0 so the 4.0 is going to feel like a V8 to you. But maybe you're right, but I don't know.

it was the 4.0, no way a 4.6 would be in the ranger and if it was we would have known about it long ago.

yeah yeah i got a 73 blazer 4x4 lifted on super swampers and a jeep wrangler 4 banger going to have dana 44's front and rear so yeah.....

2007 Level II's are 4.0L V6 only. There never has been a factory V8 option in any Ranger.

is there a possibility that it was a custom built truck (possibly as a trade-in)?

in that case, saying you drove a V8 ranger at a dealer is misleading, becuse it implies that we can all go to our local ford dealerships to find one...as far as I know ford, nor dealerships, "make V8 rangers"

So yeah...def. need pics

If there was a 4.6 in a ranger from the factory. I wouldn't have left the lot without it.
