Vehicle manuals... how close to reality are they?
Vehicle manuals... how close to reality are they?
I notice that the manual for the 2019 Ranger has in some cases completely different stuff in it from what I am looking at.
And, NO, I am not just confused by options that are not present.
The collision warning is one... the manual talks about an icon that appears in the display, but says nothing about the row of red "you gonna die" LEDs that flash on the dash... and seem to replace the icon. I think they are superior, but that is just one of the things that are partly or totally different on the vehicle vs in the manual.
That can get very irritating, leading to having no, or little, information about the actual features of the vehicle... there may be zero information about what is there, and instead, a bunch of stuff about things that are not present, perhaps replaced by a different feature like the red lights vs display.
