Very Harsh Bucking
Very Harsh Bucking
Hey guys, I got a 2001 ford ranger 2wd standard a couple of weeks ago and have been having a little fun with it, well trying, every time I would start off in 1st gear and try to do a "donut" or drifting around in a couple sand pits the truck would buck very hard with what sounds like a hard hitting sound. It would only happen a couple of times and others I would successfully be able to put the truck sideways smoothly lol. now I am new to driving standards and I am learning more and more about them each day but I'm wondering if this is abs or what I have no clue i don't think the check engine light came on when it happened but its not on now. It felt really hard on the truck and I don't want to try anything like It again unless I understand whats happening. Thanks!
It could be your trucks way of saying it didn't like that.
As for the bucking it could be all sorts of things. But i'd suggest not practicing your donuts in sand. Wet surfaces and snow are the best. We all want to have a little fun in our trucks, but some ways are better than others.
