Water Crossing
Water Crossing
It seems there is a bit of flooding around here so I was wondering what is the deepest a stock ranger can go through water? I know it can go through water up to the headlight because that's where the intake is, but I do not want to flood my axles or differentials or tranny with any water. I want to know the deepest I can go without causing any harm or needing any matinence afterwards. Would it be water up to the bottom of the axle tubes?
You can go a bit past the tubes but not much. Probably the lowest vent tubes will be for the front diff and tranny. You should extend your vent lines so you don't have to worry about it.
Go Top Gear style and weld the doors shut and make a hull type thing under the car. Then get a giant 225hp outboard mounted on the tail gate. Then just make a big hole in the roof so you can get in and out. Then you can cruise all the waters you want.
