Mine gets dirty too, I live in Ohio, and they use road salt here, so in the winter it's usually dirty. I like it better when it's clean.

 

Don't worry. I have done it myself. 40ish through a massive puddle will get water in the stock air box. I pulled the filter out and it was dripping water.

 

OMG im on dirt and its still cleaner than yours.

Seriously now, would you want to run your truck into a ditch like the above picture shows ?? Wouldn't you be worried about
scratching up the paint ?? Damaging brake lines, puncturing the gas tank......etc....

yes, yes i do actually.. its called wax, and mechanical knowhow. i posess both and enjoy working on my truck. so in response to your original question... i would love to drive my truck through that ditch.
