is this for RSC, TCS, or Downhill Decent control?

It's the Traction Control button. The dealer was explaining it to me after I brought up the disc brakes.

at first it thought it was a seat warmer but then there should be 2 of them probably esc or tc i know there the same but whatever

I think it was government mandated they added safety features.

The disc brakes, traction control and Roll & Stability Control are all part of government mandated safety features starting in 2010. Even though the Ranger is axed after this year, they were still required to comply with those said standards.

?? i dunno but my truck could really use a tc system lol, I can have 1st 2nd and sometimes 3rd spinning all day long in the rain. I hate tc/roll stability and all that crap though.

Yes, you are correct...Another Govt. mandate imposed upon the automakers and then that cost passed on to us at the time of purchase.

that really sucks. you know how much crap i stuffed in there? i can fit my phone, crayons, my clip on sunglasses and some loose change in there. all at once. now? i'd be lucky to fit my phone in and it would stick out.
