Well i did it yesterday but that still counts right?
I removed the intake snorkel trumpet thingy, didn't make near the difference i was expecting, i did that mod on my old car and it made a world of difference, but here its only noticeable when you're going over 100 and punch it, it actually does something other than make noise(mind you this is on a 2.3)
Also i unbolted my exhaust from the cat back to sound test for my exhaust cutout, its different than i was expecting, but still sounds great.
I also cleaned her and did the throttle cable mod(Well worth doing)
I will probably have some nice clean pics by the end of the day.

They seats look great, like the shape of the new seats compared to the squared off OEM high backs.
Keep them and the center console, do your usual install quality and it will look great.

Jesus! How fast do you usually drive in a Ranger? lol

P.S. why would it matter the actual mph your going? Wouldn't the sound be due to the rpm? So say your going 50mph and punch it in the same rpm range as when your going 100. Wouldn't it sound the same?

I painted the frame this morning.

https://www.ranger-forums.com/suspension-tech-36/danger-ranger-spring-hangers-shackles-shock-mounts-frame-clean-up-133155/

This thread covers what I did to mine over the past couple weeks. Still not done with it yet, the front leaf spring hangers need to be removed yet... as well as bolting the rear hangers onto the frame and bolt the new shock mounts on. I put it into the suspension tech area since the main reason I tore the bed off is to put new shackles and leaf spring hangers on, along with the shocks and shock mounts.

I decided to postpone the Chevy leaf spring swap, since I am already at the most I want to spend on the truck, for a while at least. Plus I will be coating the bolts with antiseize, and lots of it, which will make future removal a piece of cake compared to dealing with 16 year old rust belt tortured factory installed bolts. Antiseize is one of the best things to ever be made for us folks in the rust belt. It's a real time saver and headache preventer, for sure.

Loving them so far, taking some time getting use to how much more I can see out of them now. No more blind spots that's for sure. Def worth the money. I only paid $90 shipped to my door off of ebay.

I meant that you dont notice the sound of it, but when you're going highway speeds and floor it the truck it's being choked and starved of air, so that suffocating sound is gone lol.

There is a noise difference with different gears and rpm and speeds, a dramatized example of this is when you are in first and running at 2000 rpm and you punch it you'll hear a solid "roar" I'll call it, but if you do the same in fifth you'll hear more of a droning bellow.

P.S I was using kph not mph lol.

Loaned my ranger to my father in law for a week or so while I'm in Daytona, because for some reason he wanted to use it - no idea.
I give him the list of known issues it has like the a/c taking 20 miles or so before it kicks on and to check the radiator and oil before he drives it. And that I need to rebalance the tires.

The wife gets an email last night that he drove it over 200 miles and was bitching to her about the a/c wouldn't turn on at all and its unbearable, the power mirrors wouldn't adjust, and didn' t like how it rode.

I don't know the last time I had to adjust a mirror since I'm the only one that drives it so oops, but I guess I should have left post it notes on the steering wheel for him about everything else...

And I know damn well he was smoking in it, I don't even have to be there to know ...

I had contemplated giving him the truck awhile back, guess it's not worth the headaches.

He shouldn't be bitching if hes driving it for free...

x2

P.S. Why is he bitching about the a/c? if it's hot enough to turn it on why doesn't he just role the window down??? Oh and the smoking in the truck would **** me off.
