All I did was a basic oil/filter change on my new-to-me '99, but the old oil that came out felt like dishwater, it was so far gone. No viscosity left at all. And the filter looked like it had been a dummy grenade at one time. New air filter too. Here's hoping that the truck is as tough as they say!

I put rear 3" lift blocks new shocks and extended brakes lines. I still need to bleed the brakes and align it.

The blocks will work for a while. I will put explorer leafs and shackles on later. I just need the truck now.

Tie rod end and lower control arm to end the horrible squeaking and slop in the steering. I forgot to get the spring compressor tool so it's yet one more day on my motorcycle. Oh darn...

Replaced both front bearing hubs, thru the worthless vacuum hubs in the garbage and replaced them with manual lock outs. I installed a vacuum gauge to monitor the engine and a bull guard on the front. Next I'm going to replace the shocks, spark plugs and valve cover gaskets. Waiting for my Lund visor to get here. I bought this truck last month so I will go thru it to make it safe and the way I want it.

Installed Avic D3 that I've been sitting on for years...lol Food for thought the Metra double din kit sucks ***. HORRIBLE. Get the American International. Brings it more flush with the bezel and super secure/easy install. I putzed around for over an hour with the Metra and it still looked like ***. 20 minutes with the AI and it was done!

Also added a manual AC switch. Now I can turn the floor/head setting on and not have the AC running. Works great! Wish I would have done this years ago!

What's the part number for that install kit? I bought a Metra but haven't used it yet. I may switch now based on your review.

Bought new tires since I cut the sidewall on one of my 31s. Ended up going with 33/12.50 Kenda Klever MT's. I did a good bit of research since they are a fairly new company and they have good reviews. The tread pattern looks really nice and they were a steal as far as mud terrains go. Hopefully getting them mounted Monday, getting tired of rolling around on a spare. Name: 7BF64E23-692A-4FC1-AA73-8EA8185B3FF1_zpsowzsiw1v.jpg

Those look really nice. I've seen Kenda street tires, but didn't know they had MTs. Let us know how they're doing after awhile. I'd be interested in hearing about them.

Changed the fuel pump and spark plugs over the weekend. Today I drove it to work. First time in over a year. Also ordered stuff to redo the steering finally.

Kenda has made tires for a long time, just not for automobiles. Back when I used to ride bmx I'd run across their tires every once in a while.

Im sure this tread design is familiar to some. They're kenda

Getting them mounted and balanced now. Trimmed the valence and flares this morning, hopefully they don't rub too bad before I get my BL put on.

You're probably gonna have to max out the T-Bars if you haven't already. Mine still rubbed even with the flares and valence trimmed. Be very weary of turning onto inclines. Make that body lift a priority.

I put my 33's on before my BL.. took it down the road, turned around and came back and took them off. You'll barely be able to hit bumps or turn really. You need to crank your t-bars and get an alignment right away. And BL soon after.

I got all excited reading the good reviews on them, and then I saw they don't make the size I want. What a letdown.

Put about 200 miles on the 33s with no lift. No rubbing issues. Flares and valence were trimmed, t-bars cranked a little over half way and then aligned. Road noise at 60 isn't bad, no vibrations and they didn't take much weight to balance. Overall very happy so far.

Flex the front end out. I guarantee you'll snap a flare off.
