crazymikey what are you talking about??? when i bought the truck they were off...i have no intention of putting them back on.

jimmeh i have not been on trails but im plaing on doing it this summer..can i ask Y??

Scott,look at the inside lip of your fenders,particylarly in the rear fender in your photos. You see black push pins stuck into the holes where the flares would be attached if they were on the truck.

It looks like someone took them off,but put the push pins back in the holes.

so if edgeman4.0 wants to remove his take those bolts out and then i think for the top part it just 3m tape or something like that.

leave them off i hate them bars i call them root catchers thay get hung on every thing put a set of sliders on and be done with it

No Flaresides were made with factory fender flares...there may be something there to fill the holes or keep inner fender trim in place, but the truck would not have come from the factory with fender flares.

If you like the way the steps look, leave them on. If not, take them off. Simple as that. I have thought about taking mine off since they are mostly useless, but they do keep stuff off of the rockers.

I didn't think the flaresides came with flares, but those holes with the pins in them seem to be in the same mounting location for the flares. True, they could be for the inner fenders. I'm not sure what an exposed lip is supposed to look like as my truck has flares and I've only gone as far as taking the mud flaps off.

Id say leave them on... like others say it hides the frame well with that body lift

There not pins, they are tiny mm speed fasteners

hard to tell what they are in the pics. on my truck they look like the plastic push pins that hold the door panels on.
