I am looking to upgrade my 01 painted edge bumper to a 04+ bumper. I was wondering if I should try to swap for a 04+ bumper. Or would it be better to just sell it.

 

01-05 are the same base bumper. The valences change from round fogs to square. Then 06-08 was a different bumper with square lights. Then 09+ is that bumper with round fogs.

01-05 4x4/EDGE Bumper with color matched bumper and valence
01-03 Round Fogs (your current)

04-05 Square Fogs


06+ 4x4/Sport Bumper. Only come in Black, DSG, or color matched, chrome phased out.
09-11 Round Fogs

06-08 Square Fogs


If you want to change from round to square you just need a new valence (04-05) with the 04-05 square fogs.

Masteratarms93, will the 04-05 fog lights plug into the 01 harness? Also, do you think my valence is worth anything? I would like to sell it including the round fogs.

 

Keep yours, IMO they look the best.

Now I have a question: Would 6000k HIDs fit into the 04-05 square fogs just like they fit into the 01-03 rounds?

 

I have 6000k fogs in my 05 right now and they fit fine. Just have to run 35 watts to not melt the housing. They work great.
