i looked at a 98 about 5 years ago and it had 4 doors. it was actually a nice truck. xlt, 4wd, some kind of soft forest green colour, flareside bed. the rims were the ones that had a ton of small teardrops in them. i think they wanted $15k for it.

To be specific....

The only model that comes standard with 4drs is the Fx4 Level 2 or the 08/09 Fx4...which ever year they cut down to one Fx4 model.

well i have never seen a newer on that isnt a 4 door so i guess i learn something new everyday

 

Just because it is not common, doesnt mean its not standard. Every time I have to go into the back of my truck for something, I curse the original owners for not getting one with 4 doors.

 

I think different things were standard on different models. The regular Edges might have been 2 door standard, with the Edge Plus came with power items standard and 4 doors. Then FX4s being 4 doors.

 

Whenever i'm workin' on my buddy Austin's truck(the '98 i always post pics of. lol), i dont know what to do since it doesn't have the 4drs.

And why not...

2dr's have openable quarter windows(i think all do, but dont quote me)....all 4drs have fixed quarter windows. supposedly 4drs was optional with opening quarter windows in '98/99ish...but no one has seen one.
