... I'd sure like to keep it up!

Stopped today to fill up my 09 w/4.0 4WD, rated 14MPG City, 18 Highway and 16 average. I've consistently been getting 16.9, which I consider exceptional given the stuff I lug around in the bed at all times (recovery gear, camping stuff, extra fluids etc). But this time, I got 23.7! The best I've ever gotten before that was 19. So whatever I did to deserve almost 24, I'd really like to know what it was so I can keep doing it.

 

Sure you don't have a relative\buddy who knows you're monitoring mileage,
as a joke sneeking a little extra gas into your tank when you're sleeping?

 

They'd need a key....

But, if that's what really happened, whoever it was can continue.

 

17mpg is what I get on my 2001 V6-4.0L-SOHC 4WD with 4.10LS, no matter how heavy my foot, city, hwy, loaded or empty, rain or shine.
