Whats it worth?

Okay I need to know what you guys think my ranger is worth since well im going to list it for sale.

2003 Ford Ranger Fx4 LVL II:
100k
4.0L 5speed manual
Manual transfer case
HID fog and heads.
Volant CAI
Magnaflow si/so
15 inch alcoas
31 x 10.50 BFGs
JVC deck
12 inch Rockford sub
400 Watt Rockford amp
New clutch and slave less than 2k on it.
Bedliner

I know the mods dont really count in resale at all.

But just tell me what you think it is worth. Cause i want to know what to list it for. Since it is leaving and im getting something newer, probably not another ranger.

Well if I were to sell what I have I would ask for $5K. Blue book was $7500 even with the miles. Yours being a FX4 could fetch more money.

dude cars and trucks are soo much less around hear now. i live in silicon valley. I see the same cars sitting at all the dealerships they are fully disparate. only reason i don't even look into selling my truck is its basically worthless, 5k is not worth having no wheels to me, My plan is to just keep it around and not worie about it then when i have a nicer truck that is busy i will have a backup loaner rig.

but id say 8k-8.5k for yea if you need to move it, and some luck.

Guys..i got my '01 in 04 with only 30k on the clock for 10k....and that was even at a dealer w/o trying to bring the price down...

I know folks have got their 100k trucks for 7k. I think your truck is a specialty truck and means alot to folks who are in the know on these trucks....IF it were for sale locally to me and I was in the market, I'd pay a premium for your truck since I know what it is and know how special it is. Others aka typical buyers wouldn't give a damn about a manual case. They wouldn't be willing to pay the premium that I'd be willing to pay(if i were in the market).

Yeah i know what you are saying. There is a buyer for every car you just got to find em. Yeah i had no idea the manual case was special when i bought the truck.

Rear end is being replaced as we speak. Which was due to a bad shim by my mechanic. So when I towed a lot of weight it really speed up wear cause of bad angle. But is being replaced witha whole new setup.

I'd say $8,000 if you want to sell it decently fast.

Any more than that and I'd be surprised if someone bought it. It might be worth the money but good luck finding a buyer.

The bearings were replaced a year ago as last owner had water in there.

The pinion bearings and pinion were set wrong. Poor angle bad shimming. This caused excessive wear. Then when I towed it really wore em down.

So today I'm getting all new internals for it and having ford do the work.

what does setting up a pinion have to do with pinion angle? or better yet...shims that even CAUSE an angle that are not placed between the spring and axle housing??

I'm just going off what I was told. I was told it wasn't set correctly causing this all to happen. I don't know much about the rear end stuff it sure aint like my 77 cherokee.

I bought my truck for $5500. Now its not an FX4, but other than that, they are pretty similar. Id buy yours for about 7-8k if I was looking.
