what are your guys thoughts on them? i will be running 4.56 with 35s with a 15x8 wheel dont know how big of a spacer ill be running if i plan on using them but just want to know your guys thoughts. oh and i rarely wheel my truck if that helps any

 

I run 1 1/4" spacers just make sure you torque them regularly. They will put a little extra strain on your wheel bearings but so do larger tires.

 

i dont think there to bad but the tire shops in california where i live wont even take your wheels off if they see them andi want some 1in ones all four wheels. dose anyone have a really good reson on why you shouldnt run them???

 

not sure about wheel spacers but for sure you shouldn't be running 35s on 15x8s. 15x10 for anything over 33s

 

yeah, it effing stupid tires places won't even touch my truck with 7/32inch spacers on it. ******* stupid.

On another note, tons run them on there truck fine as large as you want. But why do you think you need them?

 

i want them for looks.

 

i dont let tire shops put tires on my stuff, i drop off the rims and pick up the assys later on, got tired of places giving me crap about "this tire isnt the size that the vehicle sticker specifies" no vehicle/sticker, no hassles.

 

me ether except to balance the my wheels and tires. so do you like wheel spacers? would it be fine in my case to run 1 inch wheel spacers?

I run wheel spacers and im in california and i have never had any shop complain to me and tell me they wont touch my truck with spacers on. And believe me i have brought my truck into many mechanic shops, including FORD dealer down here. They didn't even say anything... Also last month i had my suspension lift put on and had it installed at 4 wheel parts, they worked on my truck, didn't say one thing.

My point is that if you are not an idiot and keep your truck somewhat maintainable then wheel spacers shouldn't give you trouble :)

Mine also seemed to ride harsher (if that's possible) with them. I had 1-1/4" SpiderTrax on for about 3 weeks before I sent them back. Looked AWESOME tho.

On lifted trucks a wider stance will give you better stability.

it depends on what your looking to gain.
I ran 1" spacers on my ranger for 4 yrs, due to the fact I spent a few bills on rims that had the wrong bolt pattern (5x127)
it made the truck much more stable at hwy spds and increased cornering by quite a decent margin.
the only downside was I had to get a front end alignment every 6-8 mos, and I rotated the tires every month. (I didnt have too, but I wanted to make absolutely sure of even wear)

 

There's nothing wrong with running a 35" tire on an 8" wheel.

 

^ x2 8" is perfectly fine for a 35x12.5"

there is a huge difference between spacers and adapters that have your stock bolt pattern

 

yeah for 35x12.5, I was thinking of wider 35s.

 

Most people run 12.5" wide 35's

 

WOOAHH forgot i posted this but yea the only reason was i didnt know how far theyd stick out and wasnt sure on what the stance was going to be..i do agree i like the look of 15x10 but im really picky when it comes to wheels and the only ones i want are in 15x8 with 3.75 bs..mainly is because im going to be throwin on a rcd lift and bl so i didnt know if it was gonna look right but we'll see :)

 

If you go with the 10 inch rims you won't need spacers for your tires to stick out.

 

8 inch wheel with 3.75 in BS will stick out some won't it? aren't stock wheels 7 inch wheels with 3.75 in BS? i know its not much difference but...

 

i run 1 1/4 spacers and i have had no problem. tires are wearing even and nothing seems to be wearing out. i have had them for about a year and i love them. id say at least once a week i get a compliment from someone saying they like the look of my truck. id say get them. i want some for the back of my truck but not 1.25" something like 1" or maybe even a little smaller.
