I know your not looking for an "I know a guy" story, but, I know a guy. Don't know the brand he used, but he put spacers on his lifted jeep 4dr JK and while driving down the road a couple of weeks later his back wheel popped off his axle and rolled into on coming traffic. That said the dude is an idiot, reeeally dumb and he installed them himself. I personally have no experiance with them. I know some other members on here do and im sure those would work well if they were maintained and the bolts were tightened regularly. I dont know if the spacers were at fault in that guys story or just his stupidity, either way I've kinda leaned away from them.

ya ive did some looking and it looks like i may just get differnent rims.. thnaks

I've used them in the past with no issues... biggest thing is to make sure you torque them properly and check them regularly!
