Anyone know the size tires that fit 7" and 8" wide rims? My 08 will come with 7" wide rims, the ugly seven spoke stock rims that come on an XLT. Also what is the widest and tallest tire you can mount on 8" rims?

I want to upgrade the rims but not buy new tires at this point hence I want to use the 225-75 tires that will come with the truck.

I tried searching the web for this info but had no luck.

You can mount a 12.5in tire on a 8in rim just fine. I currently have 11.5in tires on 8in rims.

 

we have the same setup just diff rims. 11.5 fits fine.

 

what is it a 15 a 16 a 15x8 rim will work fine with pretty much anytire that is 12.50 wide and smaller and you can go up to 40s tall and they are fine i think.
