Where to find Billet "Ranger" Door Sills?

I want to replace my door sills with some nice billet ones that have some thickness to them, like the stock plastic ones, but i REALLY want them to say "Ranger" cut out instead of engraved in them. I've checked the normal places like UPR and ebay, and all i've found so far are some thin, plain-looking stainless steel ones on ebay.

anyone have any idea where else i could look, or maybe a place that might do them custom without making me poor? ;o)

Try RockingRobin69 on G-E. He had a hookup for custom sill plates.

i think you will end up paying a lot for them.

Wayne looked into making them and the cost was outrageous.

Where did you see the stainless steel ones on ebay? I want to get a set of stainless that overlay on the plastic...I think that would look fairly sharp.

Well, I just bid all of two dollars for some of the stainless steel plates. For eight dollars shipping, I think I'll make them work for $10 total.

I imagine any machine shop could do it with a couple pieces of scrap, the problem is finding someone who has access, know how and the initiative to do it. I came up with this when the truck was knew cause i think it would really add to the 'all chrome' scheme.

scrap?? for ext cab 4 door trucks this would take a piece over 4 foot long and a couple inches thick, not to mention the polishing involved.

alot of waste involved as well.

have you seen the lexus door sills where the 'lexus' logo illuminates? thats what i'm going to attempt. i found some el glo tape online that im going to mount under the ranger lettering, and wire it to come on when the door opens.
