Door sills?

I just ripped mine out. I wanna paint them, but as a big tough guy, decorating isn't my thing. LOL.

I just did my engine cover(4.0L SOHC) dealie, and wanna just paint the Ranger part of the sills. Any ideas or pics that can help?

Thanks guys.

(Man, these are the mods I have to do cuz I'm a poor college kid.)

just tape off everything but the letters ad sand it down a little then prime and paint. these are gonna get abused so the more prep the better. but tape everything off

no, not the WAY to paint them. BUT which parts to paint so the Ranger part stands out and looks good. (I'm doing it in oxford white like my truck's color.)

now now children, play nice or ill get gearhead to beat you both up! heh

buy some blue painters tape, by 3m, 2 1/2in wide, tape the entire thing, so it looks like a blue stick. then, use an exacto knife, and cut out around the raised portions of the step. so the raised portions are left black, and the low parts are painted. Id do this for two reasons, one, it'd be easier, and two, the raised portions will get all the abuse. lets be realistic here, paint doesnt stick well to plastic, regardless of prep work, the only people who cvan get paint to stick to plastic, is those with the 50 billion dollar auto factory heh

I would paint the "valleys" white. That way the lettering stays black and the paint has less of a chance of getting scratched
