Whirring Noise When Decelerating
Whirring Noise When Decelerating
Just bought a 2011 Ford Ranger 4x4 automatic at 82,000 miles. The whirring/whining noise doesn’t bother me as much because you really have to turn everything off and sit silently to hear it and I mean it’s pretty subtle of a noise. You’d have to be looking for the noise to notice. It’s when coming to a stop when you, again, ever so slightly hear the noise.
Where does the line cross when you hear a noise? Is it normal or should it be investigated. It’s under warranty still and even has extended warranty after it up to 150,000.
I know it could be a butt load of possibilities but curious if there’s a common case with this specific model. Truck runs beautifully and is tight in every spot as far as I know.
Thank you, guys.
