Why'd you get rid of your Ranger
I have an 2005 F150 now, the ranger just wasn't enough truck for me got tired of always having to borrow my dad's and grandpa's truck when I wanted to tow something over 5,000 which is atleast once a week. Also seat four people comfortably....
I bought my 98 because I got a banging deal on it and I was 16.
I sold it because I am moving across country and it would be crazy expensive to get it registered in that state.
I bought my 96 because I wanted a toy that was bagged and fun to fu(k with.
I sold it because I didn't feel like renting a garage for the winter to store it and didn't feel like putting more money into it.

Didn't know you were moving. Where ya going and what ya getting?
I sold my last ranger because I needed to get rid of all my debt to buy a house. I sold it in 2006 and then I drove a 2000 Explorer up until last november. I traded that due to me fearing the tranny was on its way out. I bought a 98 ram 4x4 because I wanted a full size so I could tow car trailers and I wanted to pay cash. Plus it only had 38K miles so it was like a brand new truck for less than 10K

Ranger was sweet too. DSG FTW.
I would only upgrade to a larger truck if I was hauling a lot of stuff or using it for work.
I use my truck for those purposes right now and I just find it isn't big enough for work. But when it comes to daily driving and daily use, it's just the right size.

I still have my Ranger, but I got my Dodge purely for work. The Ranger isn't big enough, and couldn't haul anything like the Dodge can. Sure, I lost a bit of cab space, but I can't really tell.
agreed 100%!!!! i want a diesel so bad.... and i cant even drive by myself... legally. Might have to work real hard and save up for a decent diesel before high school is over.
Don't waste your money on a diesel when you aren't even out of high school.
I want to switch to either a Taco, F150 or Silverado. I commute to work so I'd probably stay away from a full size unless I found a cheap gas saver. Reason I would sell the Ranger is because the lack of interior space, no 4 doors(on mine), lack of power windows and locks(on mine), harsh ride and just plain crappy transmission. I'm replacing the slave once a year on a stock truck. Not cool.

I'm on slave number 3 in 250 000 miles. First one failed at 70k miles. 2nd one got changed at 240k when my clutch was replaced.
I did a downgrade to the Ranger for gas mileage (hahaha I'm rolling right now) and the fact I wanted a newer nicer truck. Honestly, as much as I like my Ranger, I'm getting ready to sell it for something bigger again... fullsize itch has me goin again.... that and if I'm getting worse gas mileage than a fullsize and I'm running around in a V6... c'mon, common sense says get the power! OH I get 13.8 average MPG.

I average 16-17mpg on daily driving accoring to the RPS mpg calculator. 200 miles with a quarter tank left usually.
However, fullsizes also have bigger tanks = cost more to fill.

Those are the ugliest things to have ever come off GM's production line.
