What would you do?

Ok guys i've got a 04 F150 larait supercrew 2wd and a 95 T-bird both are paid for .

My first new vehicle was a 02 Ranger Supercrew EDGE with the 3.0 I LOVED that truck when they came out the 04 F150's my wife talked me into getting one.

That Ranger was probably the one vehicle that I loved the most was the only vehicle that i was completly happy with and didn't want to change a thing on it.

gas prices are going back up and its killing me the 150 stays in the driveway because i can't justify the 100-140 a week in gas to drive it back and forth to work.

What i'm thinking of doing is selling/trading my F150 for either another Ranger or a Sport Trac. If I go Ranger i have to have a ext cab because at 6'6 i'm not going to be comfortable in a reg cab. I like the Sport Trac because of the 4 full doors. 4wd is not a deal breaker one way or the other.

If you had to make a choice which one would you go with?

Tbird is a 4.6 its acutally not that bad on gas but I HATE not driving my truck. I gotta say that the 14.5-16 mpg that i'm getting in the 150.... I just don't remeber my ranger being near that bad.. It was a 02 edge ext cab 2wd with the 3.0

5.4 with a edge evolution tuner k&n drop in filter, and a airaid modular intake tube. Average work day ride would probably be 55 miles high way and 9 miles city (that's round trip)

Average mpg is about 15. That's checked by hand comp shows about 14.5- 16

A Ranger with 4.0 would range anywhere from 17-21mpg on that kind of trip. I had a drive like that, a tad more time in the city though...I usually got 19 or 20 depending on the stoplights. I hand caculated that for 2 years and it stayed the same

Keep the F150 sell the tbird and buy a ranger for like 5g's. Then you can have the full size for whatever and then the ranger to drive to work.
