winches

So I was thinking about getting a winch and get a hitch for the front. I was at sams club and they have a 10,000 pound champion winch kit with cables for front and rear, and the caring handle thing to hold it and slide it in the hitch, they want $400 for it what do you think or do you have a better idea?

it doesnt seem like a bad deal, but the winch isnt going to last as long as say, a Warn at that price..i say get it, get some kind of extended warrantee on the winch, run it until it dies and upgrade, thats what im doin

i would do it, the hitch alone is about 100, the thing that slides into the hitch that holds the winch normally goes for around 100, and does it come with the long heavy gauge cables to run the power to the rear?

Personally, I'd get the Warn. I'm one of those people who believe, you get what you pay for. I'm not saying the Champion is junk, but I know that Warn makes a great winch and to me that's worth 200 bucks in the long run. When my truck is buried up to the bumper in slop, I want to know my winch will work, not hope.

warns are nice, but at like $700 for the cheapest one, ouch.

ill run my $350 one with a 2 year free replacement plan until it dies... ill get a warn at some point, but i have only used it once to save my ***, and still, i could have used a hi-lift.. its just nice to have the ford pullin jeeps out
