Window Tint Thread
In michigan there is a no tint law. You can have zero tint on you front windows, yet see tint all the time. Most cops will not pull you over and bust you for tint. Even if you do get a tint ticket it is just a show me.
MSP - Traffic Laws FAQs
The law that covers window applications is MCL 257.709 . The use of tinting is limited to the rear side windows, the rear window if the vehicle has outside mirrors on both sides, and the top 4 inches of the front side windows. There is a limited exception for medical necessity with a doctor's prescription, which allows for tinting to be applied to the front side windows as well. Michigan does not have a specification for the darkness of the window application, but does prohibit applications with a solar reflectivity greater than 35%.
Drive threw like redford or livonia or ferndale. those cities you are likely to get popped i have been pulled over for it but the benefits of working in an ER most the cops know you...
I was aware of the 4in down on fronts and the whole dr's note stuff, i was just to lazy to explain it
its called double limo is the problem. i can see fine out of mine at night. and there is called roll down the window if there is an issue
I've got limo tint on the very back window and 15% on my side windows. Wish I would've did limo all the way around but unless it's a really sunny day you can't see in my truck at all as it is now. I have to roll my window down and look out my mirrors in order to back up at night cause i can't see anything out my back window. These are the only pics I can find of my truck and they were taken 3 years ago when it was about a week old. I got my windows tinted the day after I bought it lol.

Yeah its pretty nice, I literally just got it done like an hour ago so its gotta sit in the sun and dry for a while before I can clean it and take pics. I want to see how it will be driving tonight with it, shouldn't be bad.
So, apparently, Bill 3325 for Illinois Passed yesterday so Illinois'ers don't have to worry about being pulled over anymore. Who knows when it'll be enacted though..

Up to 35% in the Rear/up to 35% front 35-30% in the rear/up to 50% front IF YOU HAVE BELOW 30% TINT IN THE REAR, YOU CAN NOT HAVE FRONT TINT If you have an MPV, which include but are not limited to, SUVs, Station Wagons, minivans, Toasters, etc., and said MPV has factory installed privacy glass (smoked), you are allowed to have up to 50% tint in front.

Sides are 15, rear is 5, sunstrip 5, windshield 35. When I get money I'm gonna redo my sides to 5.

35 on the windshield? Lol I would get pulled over as soon as driving off the lot here if I did that. 35 is what I have on my side windows and I'm just fine with that. And 5 on the back.

Eventually want to get new side glass and a new windshield and do 20 sides 70 windshield

i cant even think of anywhere in CA that will tint the windsheild .... getting the fronts done is already sketch
Yeah well California sucks. I like (visiting) northern California, but living there would suck with all the laws, politics and illegals.
(I would still rather live there than Kentucky, but I would rather live almost anywhere else than here lol)
