Going to look at an 04 level II tomorrow..
hey guys, im going to look at a white 04 level II with 67k miles..its auto..just wondering if you guys have any advice as to look out for any certain issues these trucks may have. I know one is timing chain rattle but ive been told that was resolved in the 03's. is there anything else I should look out for, like maybe any usual tranny issues or any problems at all these trucks could have..the truck is really cheap for what it is and clean title.reason the guy says its so cheap is cause it was used as a work truck so the guy said it has its dings and dents but not too bad, like the front chrome part of the bumper has two nice size dings and the front emblem is gone as well, and 3 of the center caps from the alcoa's are missing as well..but anyways any input would be greatly appreciated..thanks

It looks fine, just needs some tlc, custom bumper, stx grille, and centercaps.. always check the basics like rust and if the 4x4 works..

IMO a repossessed truck is a big gamble. Check the condition of the tires for sure. Alot of times if a guy knows his truck is getting repossessed, he will beat the living **** out of it, just to screw the bank. Also maybe get an independent mechanic to inspect it if your not comfortable doing it yourself.
