IS IT WORTH MODIFYING A 2.5LTR?

My recently purchased 2012 2.5ltr is sluggish to say the least.

Any suggestions on how to improve performance of this little 4cyl?

I was thinking:
- Comp chip (not sure who sells them?)
- Improve airflow from the airfliter pickup and actual filter

any other suggestions?

Welcome to the forum

You have a Ford T6 International Ranger, seen here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_Ranger_(T6)
These were also sold as Mazda BT50

This forum is in North America so we have the North American Ford Rangers, seen here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_R...North_America)
They are different in every way except the name, lol, so we can't help you that much, our Ranger never had the 2.5l Duratec engine

Very nice looking truck

We never had the Crew cab option(4 full size doors) in US or Canada, they did get them in Mexico and South America with our smaller Rangers
Ford never brought in the Mazda BT50 or T6 Rangers to US/Canada or Mexico because it was too close in size to the F-150s

But they say they will be making that model in the US soon so we will see
