wow, FINALLY! AMSOIL NanoFiber universal filters!

i called them when they first came out with their new design, and they finally came out with the universal filters. this means that you guys with aftermarket intakes can switch to the nanofiber filter that uses NO OIL and just vaccuums or blows clean
AMSOIL EaAU Filters

Man those are expensive. But look nice. I may have to save up a little money...

Do these filters have the same flow as a k&n or something?

same flow, MUCH better filtration, and less maintenance, im going to order one for my new intake soon. Sure, they cost a few bucks, but imagine not having to clean, rinse, dry, and oil a filter again, not having to worry about oil on your MAF. the cleaning takes a few seconds with compressed air or a shop vac, and it filters out much smaller particles than a typical cotton gauze filter

I've got a stock-style one underhood and as far as I know, it's working. I felt a little more power and a little more mpg, but that's because my stock filter was 45k miles old and was packed with nasty stuff. I've only put 2k miles on it so far...

I've been waiting for those to come out, but I just replaced my MAC filter a few months ago. At $26 per filter, I don't even clean them. Every 2 years, I just get a new one. The old one still looks almost brand new, and is now my spare.

Is this the same technology used in the dropin filters that came out awhile ago?

it was the oiless design that sold me right away, I've had my drop in for a while now, Thanks Bob. I'll probably clean it soon but I don't think I really need to for a while
