More then likely something might of gotten messed up from the install or it was something from when you've been offroading. The whipple has been proven to add no extra wear at all so as long as everything is installed right and running right it shouldn't of been the actuall S/C. GL on getting it fixed Brian.

as far as the whipple not adding to wear that is total BS. if you add boost to any engine with cast pistons there is always the chance of loseing the bottom end. hit much over 5psi in most situations and you can kiss the lower end goodby, the cast pistons just cannot stand up to the heat and forces of forced induction. that is why stock turbo motrs all have forged pistons, and normally lower compression and stronger head gaskets and better valves just to handle the heat and forces of that boost and added fuel. even in an engine with forged pistons if you run lean and get detonation it can destroy the engine in short order. there are many ways the whipple could have caused this, it is a very difficult balance to run forced induction on a cast bottom end. good luck in the repairs, and while they are in there replaceing things you should try and get them to drop forged pistons into it and then you wont have to worry about them with the boost.

Not total BS whipple tested it WITH ford and ford will NOT void your warranty if you install it. Go look at their website or ask Doug904.
