Icon5 04 manual to power options swap

I've been wanting to swap my manual windows, locks and mirrors to power but I dont want to go through the hassel with keyless entry. I just want power windows, locks and mirrors.

Parts
- Door pannels with handle part that holds the switches (D/P)
- Window regulator (2)
- Lock actuator (2)
- Power mirrors (L/R)
- Switches (windows, locks and mirrors)

I have a feeling to make this go easy is to get both complete doors from a junkyard and swap it over. How would I know if my truck is pre-wired to do this swap?

should see a wire loom tied up somewhere by where the wires from the door come into the truck

That thread should give you the info needed. They have the wires used for both.

It sucks not being pre-wired. I've wanted power windows but just havent tackled that yet. Over thanksgiving, I'm gonna attempt to put cruise in.

I'm amazed that it isnt pre-wired. I havent taken the door pannels off to check. I'm not sure where else I should look.

The easiest way to tell for me was the passenger side. If u take off the kick panel that hides the full sjb u will see a small grey plug with 4 wires in it that sits right above the sjb. They are 2 for the speakers and 2 for the door pin (dome light). If there is a big square one then u might be prewired. Since I only had the small one I pulled the wiring diagrams and looked for the wires in each of the plugs. Found that I had none of the ones for windows and locks.

Mark,

Im pretty sure he is refering to this area. If yours looks like this then I am pretty sure yours isnt prewired.

Your connector looks just like mine for the doors, the only wires there are the ones for the dome light and speakers not for windows or locks.

I installed all of the wires for locks, windows and mirrors myself.

look for that lilttle grey connector under the passenger kick panel just above the SJB . If that is the connector then you are not prewired. You will have to hard wire everything like me.

All of the wires for the doors are in one connector. If u have the one like the picture I posted then u are not wired. If you have a big one that has like 13 wires in it then you are. If u want to wire up just for locks then you will need 2 relays If u DON'T hook into the sjb. If u do then you will have keyless entry but u DON'T have to use it and u dontneed the relays. Let me know if u are prewired or not and I will help u hook up what wires u need with or without the sjb. If u are not prewired then u will have to run wires from one door to the other under the dash.

same thing since you are not wired for them you need to add some. The mirrors are the easiest since there is one wire going to the switch for power. To control the passenger mirror you will still have to run wires over to the passenger door.
