So i need wire another 12volt source into my truck. I replaced the factory radio and that comes with a aux port already, so the old aux input is just useless. Could i simply remove the wiring, leave the aux port there and then wire the old wiring to a 12 volt source? I could always just use a fuse pigtail, but i want this 12 volt source to be low key and why not use that wiring?

When you mention Radio and Aux port in the same sentence, AUX then means an AUDIO plug input to hook up a phone(MP3) to play saved music thru the radio

Aux port on its own, can mean a cigar lighter type 12volt plug in without the "lighter" part
Yes you can use the Aux port wiring for a 12volt device
But remember this is a full time 12volt wire, still has power with key OFF, so anything plug into it will drain the battery if left on with key off
