Apologies if this question has already been answered. My 15 year old son has been gifted a 1999 4x4 4.0 ranger with what we believe to be a blown head gasket. Instead of fixing the issue I’m inclined to do a swap to a more reliable 3.0 or 2.5. Could someone tell me of a year range that would be a direct swap? Appreciate any and all information!
