I just bought a 1999 Ranger xlt, and am experiencing the problems described in posts about the recall. Can I, as a purchaser of a used vehicle have Ford do those repairs if they weren't done when original owner had truck?

 

Yes. I am my trucks 3rd owner and had the recall done a number of years back (2007?). Best bet is to stop in at your local Ford dealer to see if your truck has been taken care of yet (they do a VIN # check). Should cost you nothing out of your pocket. FoMoCo picks up the bill.
