Would a SOHC 2.3 power steering pump and its accessories (reservoir, etc.) work on the Duratec?
Also, forgive my ignorance here, but in the case of an engine-swap, would the power steering system be dependent on the new engine, or the existing steering rack and whatnot?

What I usually do is go on rockauto.com or autozone.com and look up the part for both vehicles and see if the part number is the same. I forget what year SOHC models ended otherwise I would check.

 

You'll have to forgive me. I have a hard time putting my thoughts into words, and tend to accidentally omit information.
So, the SOHC and DOHC power steering pumps are a little different, but I guess what I was trying to ask is if anyone has had any success mounting a Lima pump on a Duratec? If nobody has ever even tried, then I guess I'll be the first. Trying to salvage as much misc. components from my Lima for when the Duratec goes in.
