Icon4 2 A/C Problems

1.When i accelerate a little over 3,500 RPMs the A/C stops pumping air..I'm thinking it might be a vacuum hose right? Let me know if anyone has had this problem before and if possible how to fix it.

2. I'm leaking freon after being on the road with the A/C on.. I heard that it could be my condenser clogged but I ask because i have no clue on a/c problems.

Any help would be highly appreciated. Would like to get it fixed soon because it sure gets hot down here.

Issue 1. If it seems to stop coming out the dash vents and switches to the defrost its most likely a vacuum problem. Check the vacuum line from the intake to the vacuum reservoir (black plastic ball in the engine bay passengers side), then from the vacuum reservoir to the firewall. Also check the vacuum line from the hot water valve back to the firewall.

Issue 2. If your sure your leaking refrigerant, it could be leaking from any of the following: compressor, condenser, accumulator, evaporator, or lines. You can add a can of leak check (dye) and run the system for a day and then look for any signs of a leak.

I found a broken vacum hose yesterday but i have no clue where it goes after looking in there with my old man for like 20 mins. It might be very simple but i couldnt find it. The battle continues... any help is still welcome.

The vacuum bal is under the airbox. You may need to go in at it thru the inner fender.

These vary in size and location from year to year and plant to plant.

Heres a pic of mine.

In this pic you can see the black line that runs into the heater box.

One runs from the engine to the ball, the other runs from the ball to the heater controls.

There is a check valve somewhere between the engine and ball or sometimes is part of the ball.
