does anyone know the average time to replace a heater core in an 01 reg cab ranger. 2.3 if it matters? what kind of terrible times am i looking at for this.if anyone can give me info diy or if they contracted it out please let me know,thanks ahead.

 

I have never actually changed the heater core but have pulled out heater boxes. I can tell you the dash needs to come out and the evaporator box under the hood to get to the bolts. Might make life easier to pull the ps inner fender out also.

 

i had a 96 grand marquis heater core go out and it was terrible.it was like a 10 hour job, all for a 15 dollar part.
